What is it about?
This research examines the experiences of women leaders in Vietnam’s public relations (PR) industry. It highlights how female practitioners navigate cultural expectations, workplace gender dynamics, and leadership challenges in a rapidly evolving profession. Through interviews and case studies, the study reveals both the barriers -- such as stereotypes, limited recognition, and work-life pressures -- and the opportunities, including strong networks, adaptability, and a rising demand for women’s leadership. It also emphasizes how women’s leadership styles, often collaborative and empathetic, contribute to shaping the growth and professionalism of PR in Vietnam.
