What is it about?
Digital technologies have the potential to both benefit and harm indigenous culture. While more people can access indigenous cultural expressions and items, there are also problems of misappropriation and inappropriate use. This paper explores these issues in relation to two examples from Aotearoa New Zealand.

Perspectives
Writing this conceptual paper extended my knowledge of colonising practices in GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) institutions and differing perspectives on ownership, control and access.
