Why is it important?

Students can learn the micro-architecture of a modern processor LC-3, its assembly language, and some basic computation problems.

Perspectives

This course is almost critical to get students get ready for later courses such as computer organization, which in our department is a course to train students to write an LC-3 processor in Verilog.
