What is it about?

This is a brief description of my scientific work, that I carried out till 2015. Though my main thrust is accelerator based isotope production (medium energy, MeV), but I also worked in radio tracer technique where radioisotopes are produced in nuclear reactor by bombarding with eV neutrons or irradiation with very high energy proton beam (GeV) from CERN-ISOLDE

Why is it important?

The common thread from eV to GeV is isotope production by energetic particles

Perspectives

This is Hevesy Medal Award lecture delivered in Hawaii in 2015. Hevesy Medal is the highest international award in the field of nuclear and radiochemistry. The award was instituted in 1968 after the demise of NNobel Laureate George De Hevesy. I was the first recipient of the award who worked in India.
