What is it about?

We suggest a battery of tests which can be used together to calculate a score which predicts the expansion and differentiation potential of mesenchymal stem cells.

Why is it important?

The paper allows the user to implement a senescence score set which can be used as a performance prediction tool in laboratory research and possibly in stem cell therapy.

Perspectives

When we started the experiments for this paper there was a deficit on papers dealing with senescence in mesenchymal stem cells. In the mean time there are many such papers but the paper is still valuable for establishing a systematic approach in how to assess senescence and link it to cell performance.
