What is it about?
Many current composite resins are sticky and difficult to manipulate, resulting in greater problems in placement. Composite resine may have better mechanical properties by the preheating procedure before polymerization. A moderate increase in temperature of a resin composite is expected to exhibit enhanced flow due to higher thermal energy that allows molecular motion.

Why is it important?
This study demonstrated the strong influence of composite temperature on micro-shear bond strenght in dentin. Benefical effect of preheating may be due to increased flow and enhanced adaptation to dentin surface.
