What is it about?
This article describes the design and development stages we followed to built a semi-autonomous agricultural robot sprayer. In the article we explain why we opted to go for semi-automation and not fully-autonomous robot and as such we describe the related human-robot interaction aspects, such as the development of a suitable user interface.

Why is it important?
Agricultural robots operate in a versatile, unstructured and harsh environment. In addition, they need to handle multiple and complex operations in a difficult and challenging setting (e.g light/shade, handle crops that vary in color, size, shape). Human-robot interaction / collaboration is key in the success of agricultural robots, and this article is important because it raises this issues and explains how human-robot collaboration through a user interface can help towards alleviating these challenges.
