In this study, we have tried to understand the South Asian monsoon variability at seasonal to sub-seasonal timescales and its relationship with the global SST using the NCEP CFSv2 global model.

Why is it important?
Prediction of monsoon variability on seasonal to sub-seasonal time scales is still a challenging task for the modeling communities and we hope that this study will provide some guidance to the modeling communities.
