Why is it important?

People seem to have an underlying desire to express themselves and communicate with others. More significantly, they might have their own idiosyncratic (unique and individual) ways of communication.

Perspectives

One of the significant advantages of digital writing is that people can creatively use diverse semiotic resources, such as images and music, based on both contextual/rhetorical and individual/idiosyncratic factors.
