What is it about?
To mitigate CO2 emissions and control formation damage during CO2 based Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)

Why is it important?
CO2 injection in depleted reservoirs is considered one of the most potential approach to control greenhouse emissions and environmental problems and also it may result in extra oil recovery. Therefore, its injection looks economically feasible. However, its injection into the depleted reservoirs faces a number of reservoir engineering problems, mainly formation damage and CO2 mobility control. This paper explains CO2 injection related problems and suggests how to control them.
