What is it about?

P-values may be over and misused but if there is a replication crisis in science, abandoning them would not solve it. As one of many ways of Looking at data they have their uses.

Why is it important?

I show that false and pointless distinctions are made between sugnificance and hypothesis tests. P-values aren't great but any system of inference faces problems as soon as claims of unique relevance are made for it.

Perspectives

A lot of ink has been wasted on this topic & it appears I am doomed to being a serial waster.
