What is it about?

In many real world control systems, actuators are a source of time-delay which can cause poor performance of the system. On the other hand, there are many systems that stochastic events have significant impact on their performance. We have introduced a way to compensate the input time-delay for a stochastic system. To show the effectiveness of our method, we have applied it to a stochastic model of an active suspension system with actuator delay.

Why is it important?

Since we use memory (prediction-based) control, it doesn't matter how long the time-delay is. In other words, as long as the assumptions are not violated, our findings are true for any application including active suspension system.

Perspectives

This article is a part of my findings as a Ph.D. student at Iran University of Science and Technology. I hope, one day someone apply these findings on a real world application such as active suspension system.
