Why is it important?
The great promise of single molecule atomic force microscopy is excellent but there are certain conditions where it is still limited in its resolving power. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance combined with computer-assisted structure elucidation is a very powerful combination when applied together and can support the data extracted using AFM.
