What is it about?
This article reviews the RIFT processes using the classification into four distinct types (I–IV) initially proposed by Summerscales and Searle. Type II infusion is finding applications in marine structures, while Type III (RFI) dominates the aerospace sector use of infusion processes. Type IV (semipreg) infusion is finding application in high performance automotive applications.
