Why is it important?

This study is important because it assesses the role of mindfulness in helping nurses cope with stress at work by examining the extent to which it can be conceptualized as a personal resource in the JD-R model. In doing so, this study extends the JD-R model by considering various influences of personal resources, exploring differential pathways identified by Schaufeli and Taris (2014), and it contributes to the understanding of how mindfulness works in organizational settings by considering these various pathways.

Perspectives

It is rewarding to see some nurses utilize a mindfulness approach to help them to reduce stressors at work.
