What is it about?
Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare cancer that could appear during childhood. The treatment combines chemotherapy, surgery and/or radiotherapy. Treating this cancer in low and middle income countries is challenging and results are lower than expected.

Why is it important?
Over 70% of childhood cancer occurs in low-income settings, it is important to communicate the efforts made. Between 2001 and 2018, 337 patients < 18years old were treated, their probability of being alive after 5 years of follow-up was 33%.
Perspectives
It is important to periodically check any cancer treatment performance, and also to find out what the failures are in order to improve future treatments.
