Wim Vegt is a physicist and independent researcher affiliated with the Department of Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. His primary research interest lies in bridging the gap between classical physics, quantum mechanics, and general relativity. This pursuit has led him to develop Quantum Light Theory (QLT), a novel theoretical framework that seeks to redefine our understanding of fundamental interactions. QLT distinguishes itself by positing that all forces and particles can be derived from a single, underlying electromagnetic field. This approach departs from Quantum Field Theory (QFT), which involves multiple separate fields for different forces and particles. Vegt's QLT suggests a return to a more unified approach rooted in principles reminiscent of Newtonian physics while incorporating key advancements in electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. A central element of QLT is the "Gravitational-Electromagnetic Equation," which Vegt proposes as a solution to both the Schrödinger and Dirac equations, thereby unifying quantum mechanics and relativity. Furthermore, QLT introduces the concept of GEONs (Gravitational Electromagnetic Entities) as fundamental building blocks of matter. These GEONs are theorized to be self-confined electromagnetic structures that possess mass, electric charge, and magnetic spin. Vegt's work has been published in journals and presented on online platforms. He has proposed experimental tests, such as high-precision measurements of gravitational redshift, to validate the predictions of QLT and differentiate it from General Relativity. Goal: Unifying physics into a single, coherent framework. The Central Idea of QLT: All forces and particles arise from a single electromagnetic field.
