What is it about?
Although the stroke affects the cognitive levels of patients, often they are not used as criteria for the evaluation of this type of subjects. This systematic review analyzes the use of cognitive patterns as criteria of inclusion or exclusion or evaluation in robotic rehabilitation of upper limb in patients with stroke.

Why is it important?
Our findings point out that, although cognitive criteria are considered to be the basis for the assessment of stroke patients, they are not considered when research is carried out. Moreover, when present, they are used very different scales and with different cut-offs that do not allow to generalize the results obtained or to limit the use of some devices to a target of stroke patients.
