What is it about?
Sexuality is a priority in rehabilitation. We have shown the characteristics of individuals with traumatic brain injuries who are more likely to present with sexual problems. On the contrary, we isolated a group of individuals with traumatic brain injuries who are less likely to present sexual problems. Rehabilitation professionals need to be familiar with these characteristics to provide optimal care.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that a subgroup of individuals with traumatic brain injuries seems to be more at risk for sexual problems. Identifying individuals with traumatic brain injuries with a higher risk for sexual problems can help rehabilitation professionals to prevent the chronicity of these problems and to optimize service delivery.
