Why is it important?

In this study we show that it is possible to improve binocular visual dysfunction and balance problems using intensive training - even 2 years after stroke. Since these problems have a huge impact on the patients lives these results are very important knowledge.

Perspectives

We need more individual training in stroke adressing all aspects of dysfunctions. Many rehabilitation centers/hospitals do not offer behavioural visual training and balance training often have a broad perspective. This study shows that the very specific training helps the individual, which very much are presented in the results showing higher level of quality of life and less subjective fatigue.
