Why is it important?

Quality of life is important in a nursing home environment. Screaming and verbal or physical aggression are common symptoms of dementia that are distressing to other residents, staff, and visitors. Tools such as MindfulGarden that have the potential to calm residents are important to trial in real life settings.

Perspectives

MindfulGarden is portable and easy to operate and may be a useful tool for management of BPSD.
