What is it about?

Christian Black women have historically and currently been challenged with inequalities at home, in church and in society. Here is an inquiry into some of the reasons for this and ways in which this situation could change, from a Baptist viewpoint within the London area.

Why is it important?

Justice is an area of major concern within the Christian faith, and in our world today. This study examines one example of injustice from a Feminist and Liberation Theology perspective and seeks to project their voice in order to advocate and bring positive change.

Perspectives

This study was my thesis undertaken during my MA in Pastoral Ministry at Oasis College of Higher Education. I was very enthusiastic about this project and really enjoyed completing it. Since its conclusion it has been added as a chapter in several books on Baptist life from a BME perspective and I think it is somehow bringing change for the better.
