What is it about?

The radiation properties of a novel accelerator light source called steady-state microbunching, which bridges the gap of synchrotron radiation and free-electron lasers to generate high-power high-repetition narrow-band radiation, are presented. Potential applications include high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and extreme ultraviolet lithography.
