Why is it important?

Translational approaches innovate research on social movements and connect our discipline to the humanities. Without political translation, movements do not reach out to the groups they aim to empower. With political translation, the power of the many that Arendt reminds of can be realized. Translation can also be abused. Far right activists manipulate translational practices, we show in this piece.
