What is it about?

Register analysis and task-based language teaching (TBLT) have many shared research goals. This paper illustrates how principles from register analysis can be used to help TBLT researchers describe tasks and functionally interpret language performance.

We hope to promote collaboration between task- and register-based researchers by illustrating common goals in what some researchers may see as two disparate fields.
