Using "we" to mean "you"

What is it about?

When people use "we" to mean "you", it can make it seem less direct and more friendly. But it can also seem patronising. There is a fine line. This study looks at how this practice occurs within a sports team, between coaches and players, and how it co-occurs with commands, compliments and criticism.
