What is it about?
Creoles are much younger than other languages, born in special contact circumstances. This study proves that Haitian Creole is also more transparent, namely that the relations between meaning and form (actual sentences we pronounce) are much more straightforward.

Why is it important?
This study proposes a new approach to the topic. Furthermore, it gives evidence that in fact there is a correlation between language contact and transparency.
Perspectives
I personally think that this study and the framework it was conducted in are worth time and attention. For a start, it focuses primarily on data and observation and secondly it embeds that data into more realistic framework of fuctional grammar.
