How to develop project-based learning activities for beginner learners in the context of English as a foreign language

Why is it important?
In the context of English as a foreign language, students do not have exposures to the use of the language and mainly learn the language in the formal classroom setting where teachers play the major roles for the learning success. This article describes how to develop activities for meaningful learning through project-based learning model and how this affect students' achievement and attitudes.
Perspectives
This article is in the context of Bali, the small island of Indonesia. It would be very interesting to know the implementation of Project-based learning in other countries where English is also a foreign language.
