What is it about?
The purpose of this article is: (i) to show that in the cognitive semantics of AROUND, the trajectors (TRs), landmarks (LMs), and image-schemas are captured three-dimensionally and topologically ; (ii) to show that in the senses of AROUND a circular path sense is central, and to present how seven other senses are derived from the central circular path sense or an arc path sense; (iii) to provide a radial category for the senses of AROUND, which suggests the network relating each sense of AROUND; and (iv) to discuss the subjectification of AROUND.
