What is it about?

Suggestopedia is a method that has been testified effective in improving students' language study performance and create a less-stressful environment, but can it work the same for student interpreters who are dealing with a high-pressure learning object. This paper implements Suggestopedia in interpreting class and adopts mixed methods to find out its role in alleviating interpreting anxiety.

Why is it important?

The results suggested use of Suggestopedia in interpreting class reduced student interpreters' anxiety much more significantly than those in non-Suggestopedia class. It sheds some light to the way that teachers and leaders in interpreting education system can pursue to cultivate more motivational, less stressed, more competent students.

Perspectives

Researching on this project is a pleasant experience for me because I'm motivated to find out how to produce happier students and better study performance. It shows a new perspective of incorporating teaching methods to interpreting and translation education.
