What is it about?
SLPs reported confidence in counseling and teacher education. Least areas of confidence were assessment and intervention. Reported needing mentoring, resources, and client-centered skills. A six-week online PD improved their knowledge and confidence.

Why is it important?
Provides a preliminary evidence that asynchronous online professional development for SLPs in Ghana may lead to an increase in their knowledge and confidence. Sets out exactly what they perceive as areas of need, so that directed help could be offered.
Perspectives
Working on this study through the Ghana Stammering Project, co-founded by the authors was a great experience for me (a Ghanaian trained SLP and a PWS) as it contributes toward SLP workforce development in Ghana especially in the area of stuttering management.
