What is it about?

This condition describes an unknown appearance of multiple erosions on corneal surface with waxing and waning periods. Both eyes affected mostly with irritation, light intolerance and sandy feeling in the eyes. effectively the symptoms controlled by topical steroid and cyclosporine.

Why is it important?

An young boy with bilateral recurrent corneal epithelial and sub-epithelial lesions presented with photo-phobia and foreign body sensation. TSPK diagnosed after ruling out other viral affections of corneal by clinical examination. Acute exacerbations treated with topical steroid drops and patient was maintained on once a day topical cyclosporine drops that prevented recurrences.
