Solar cooking in sahelian countries

What is it about?

Solar cookers are an interesting option for developing countries with a large solar resource. Thus, in this work, a box-type solar cooker was realized using local materials and optimum design parameters and tested. This study showed that this cooker presents interesting performances and can considerably reduce the dependence of woody fuels in Sahelian countries.

This study provided data on solar cookers in the Sahelian countries that could contribute to the dissemination of solar cooking. This will reduce poverty and the many consequences associated with the use of wood fuels.
