Why is it important?

It is important because it may present with constitutional symptoms like other illnesses. Thus,an intelligent suspicion will be essential as well as radiological and biochemical investigations for Doctors to introduce timely and appropriate interventions.

Perspectives

Effective management of Stones in the bladder begins with biochemical investigations .However ,it should never be limited to clinical chemistry.Noting of pH of the urine can help to evaluate the nature(acidic or basic stone ) to be seen.
