PERFORMANCE EVALUATION BY N2 METHOD

What is it about?

As population is increasing day by day, the constructions of buildings (edifices) are also increasing. As constructions of buildings are also increasing the lands available for constructions are also decreasing. As a result of this the engineers started to construct buildings in active earthquake regions. When buildings are constructed in earthquake active regions their behavior is very complex, which is very difficult to understand. Hence, for safety purpose, we need to study the complex behavior of buildings by conducting the performance evaluation. There are various methods to conduct the performance evaluation, N2 method is one among them. The performance evaluation of buildings using N2 method is discussed in this paper.
