This publication measured the school academic performance of children with sensorineural hearing impairment, who had received early intervention services (early screening, diagnosis, aids or implants and speech therapy services), currently living in Lahore Pakistan.

It measures the academic performance of hearing impaired children who received early intervention who are currently living in Lahore, Pakistan

Perspectives

This work shows that difference in language, family and societal support as well as school management's understanding regarding hearing impairment plays important role which affects their academic performance.. Researchers are encouraged to do more research on this topic, there are many elements that need more investigation such as difference in syllabus designed for HI children, special schools and their management, it’s a very vast area for research in Pakistan.
