What is it about?
As man continues to use traditional medicinal preparations for health care needs, there is a constant strain on the natural reserves of these animals who are hunted for food, clothing and recreational purposes. So the question is how soon would highly sort animals run into extinction.

Why is it important?
It looks at the conservation status of these animals according to IUCN and CITES listing so as to draw awareness on the issue and if possible result in the creation and implementation of policies to prevent their extinction.
Perspectives
This work helped to enlighten me on the animals species used in traditional medicine and although an ancient practice the world seems to be returning back to the health practices of our forefathers.
