What is it about?
The recent crises of 2014 and 2015 in the broader region have shown a rather complex structure of the fault zone rather than a simple linear strike-slip fault as it was previously thought.

Why is it important?
The aim of our research is to re-evaluate the dimensions of the fault zone that are crucial for the Seismic Hazard Assessment.
Perspectives
The recent crises of 2014 and 2015 in the broader region have shown a rather complex structure of the fault zone rather than a simple linear strike-slip fault as it was previously thought. The aim of this research is to re-evaluate the dimensions of the fault zone that are crucial for the Seismic Hazard Assessment and the explanation of local superficial geomorphological features linking seismology to other fields of earth sciences such as structural geology and geomorphology.
