What is it about?
This review paper describes the present problems that the world of medicine is facing as regards an effective therapy for liver cancer; it gives a lucid view of new therapy prospects for liver cancer and liver related malignancies using viral gene gene therapy. Since, Liver cancer develops by a multi-stage process known as Hepatocarcinogenesis, early signs of its development in humans are always easily treated. However, and more importantly, it is difficult to detect liver cancer at its earliest stage, hence conventional (known) therapies does not always lead an effective cure for diseased patients. Hence, this publication brings to readers practical aspects of using viruses to halt the growth and spread of liver cancer in its terminal stages and how these viruses (Oncolytic viruses) can be employed for total cure of liver cancer.
