What is it about?
Palm oil methyl ester derived from Palm Oelin contains higher unsaturated compounds than other forms of palm oil. Presence of these unsaturated compounds make it highly susceptible to oxidation. So, this experiment was tried to see the influence of different environmental factors on the storage stability of methyl ester. The oxidized methyl ester of palm oil was also tested on an engine to find the suitability for an alternate fuel by comparing with the diesel fuel.
