Why is it important?

This article explains how classical/relativistic mechanics and Quantum Mechanics can be reconciled with electromagnetism. An Appendix A was added to the republished version, summarizing Maxwell's synthesis of the electromagnetic equations set and introducing the first level forms of these equations that allow easy calculation of E and B fields applicable to individual elementary electromagnetic particles as extensions of Maxwell's fourth equation for electromagnetic photons and of the Lorentz force equation for elementary particles such as the electron
