Why is it important?

Hormones to induce oocyte maturation, as well as egg incubation substrates were previously imported, so very expensive. In this study we have shown to fish farmers how they can produce catfish figerlings intensively and cheaply: we used pituitary gland to induce oocytes maturation, local raffia fibbers and mesh frame as incubators of fertilized eggs

Perspectives

I hope that the fish farmers will be relieved by reproducing this work. This is why the popularization of this study is necessary. However, It remains to assess the number of incubations that can support raffia fibers
