What is it about?
This paper reviewed recent phytomedicinal and DNA sequences of plant Endemics of the Northern Cyprus. The results showed that out of about 20 endemics only 6 plants were investigated for their potential medicinal value and 5 have their DNA sequences deposited in the publicly available sequence databases.

Why is it important?
Endemism is related to uniqueness especially those of islands, we have shown that only few of endemics of Northern Cyprus were non-clinically investigated and Barcoded opening the for further research.
