What is it about?
Bacterial pathogens were Isolated from samples of fresh kunun-zaki drinks purchased. The presence of these pathogens pose huge risk to public health. Kunun-zaki is produced traditionally based on cultures and taste. Packaging and distribution kunun-zaki drinks are done traditionally and often times in a poorly sanitized environment. Containers used for distribution may be contaminated by microorganisms and consumption could lead to foodborne diseases.
