What is it about?
Anemia is a very common disorder affecting countless of million worldwide. Nigeria is a low income country where affordability of drugs for its management is a bit of challenge. its also a country that boast of a wide range of plants used in the management of anemia. one of such plants is the widely grown underutilized Talinum triangulare. The essence of this study was to chemically induce anemia with Phenyl hydrazine and check the management possibilities of the plant with elevated PCV values.

Why is it important?
Anemia is so common, that yearly lives are lost with could have been avvoided with timely herbal infarctions. The uniqueness of this study lies in the ready availability of the plant and the low toxicity index as shown with organ histology.
Perspectives
I am very happy that a plant so common is so useful. It goes to say that our immediate environment are working encyclopedias to ailments around us.
