What is it about?
In the early stages of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic, it was required that the test be available not only to public laboratories but also to a wide range of private laboratories, universities, etc. For this purpose, a rapid comparative analysis of the performance of the test developed by the national laboratory and the only test kit that was already on the market was conducted.

Why is it important?
Shoddy test kits and testing methods are rather harmful to public health. Information on the sensitivity and accuracy of each test kit and method is an essential part of public health measures.
Perspectives
Even if the right information is provided, it is meaningless if it is not properly utilized. Along with the correct information, a lot of wrong information has sent out, and this confused the countermeasures against COVID-19. How to develop an excellent method of information dissemination will be an important issue.
