A brief investigation of the tensions in religious communities on both sides of the Atlantic between Moravians on the one hand and German and Lutheran Calvinists on the other and the role of gender, sexuality, and confession in those tensions. A monograph on the subject entitled Jesus Is Female followed in 2007.
