What is it about?

This is a book about the experience of paid carers but patients are always central to analysis of what was going on and why. The search for new roles for nurses and professional projects for psychiatric and learning disability nurses are considered in a number of contexts. Alternative care arrangements in other settings are also considered. The main focus is on the Uk but an Australian case study is included.
