What is it about?

Making mild steel harder by carburization of the steel surface with CO2 as the source of carbon via electrolysis in molten salts

Featured Image

Why is it important?

This is a potentially cheaper and clean method for upgrading mild steel for high performance applications

Perspectives

The same method can also be used for electrolytic conversion of CO2 to carbon for either fuel or material applications
