What is it about?

Surgical treatment of Congenital Muscular Torticollis traditionally involve transecting sternocleidomastoid muscle at different levels but doesn't generate any improvement in its inner structure. With this novel approach we can obtain an scarless functional and aesthetic improvement without complex surgical maneuvers.

Why is it important?

This is to my knowledge the first description of an scarless technique that uses fat grafting and stromal vascular fraction to resolve congenital muscular torticollis deformities and improve muscular recovery.

Perspectives

This is a great example of how fat tissue plays a very important role in supporting regeneration of damaged tissues.
